Vladimir Putin expressed his deep condolences to Dmitry Khvorostovsky’s family and friends and to all admirers of his talent in connection with the opera singer’s death.
The message reads, in part:
“I am grieving with you at this moment. Please accept my sincere condolences and words of sympathy and support.
Dmitry Khvorostovsky was an outstanding representative of the Russian and international cultural world who had millions of admirers.
Dmitry was also an extraordinarily gifted, passionate as well as generous person.”
Soviet and Russian opera singer, baritone, National Artist of Russia Dmitry Khvorostovsky died on November 22 at the age of 55.
