Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to the participants and guests of the XVI Golden Eagle National Film Awards ceremony
The President’s message reads, in part:
“The Golden Eagle, one of Russia’s most respected and prestigious culture awards, has made a considerable contribution to cultivating the best traditions of national filmmaking and has become a symbol of great success and recognition. Award winners of years past – both world-renowned masters and young talents – are united by sincere love for their chosen craft, mastery, impeccable artistic taste and, most importantly, a deep awareness of the unique role of the art of film in people’s lives, in shaping their worldview and moulding the young”.
