Vladimir Putin sent greetings to participants and guests at the 40th Moscow International Film Festival.
The message reads, in part:
“The Moscow Festival is always a great, bright and truly festive event, attracting the attention of both professionals and film-lovers from many countries. This film festival is known for its remarkable history, rich palette of entries, and its friendly and hospitable atmosphere.
Performing a high spiritual, educational and enlightening mission, the MIFF holds to its traditions and presents the audience with high-quality, deep cinema. And of course, I would like to note the festival’s important role in strengthening international humanitarian and human contact and its significant contribution to the popularisation of outstanding achievements in domestic and world cinematography.
I am confident that the 40th Moscow Film Festival will be a success; it will please participants and guests with great premieres and leave positive and unforgettable impressions.”
The 40th Moscow International Film Festival is being held on April 19–26, 2018.
