Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Magomedsalam Magomedov chaired a meeting of the working group on implementing the research and publication project Russian State Acts. Russian State and Corporate Archives of the 13th-17th centuries. The meeting was held at the Russian State Archive of Ancient Acts (RGADA).
Opening the meeting, Magomedsalam Magomedov, who heads the working group, said that the Presidential instruction gave a new boost to the study of Russian history, noting that research efforts preceding the publication of these acts requires meticulous work and compliance with the high standards of Russian archaeography.
Head of the Federal Archive Agency and deputy head of the working group Andrei Artizov noted that the Russian State Archive of Ancient Acts was chosen as the venue for this meeting because the archives hold 90 percent of the documents dating back before the early 18th century.
Director of the Institute of Russian History at the Russian Academy of Sciences Yury Petrov made a presentation of the group’s first edition of the Russian State Acts, which includes acts that have to do with the history of Western Russia.
The participants discussed the implementation of the project Russian State Acts. Russian State and Corporate Archives of the 13th-17th centuries in 2018 and the group’s further work and a schedule of publications for 2019.
