The President signed the Federal Law On Amendments to the Federal Law On Cultural Heritage Sites (Historical And Cultural Landmarks) of the Peoples of the Russian Federation.
The amendments to this Federal Law have to do with the system of state protection and the legal framework for historical and cultural museum reserves and museum complexes on the List of Historical and Cultural Heritage Sites of Federal (National) Significance.
In particular, architectural ensembles and other landmarks located on the territory of historical and cultural museum reserves and museum complexes shall be protected by the state.
Under the Federal Law, only activities stipulated in the Federal Law On the Federal Museum Collection and Museums of the Russian Federation can take place on the territory of historical and cultural museum reserves and museum complexes.
