Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the 21st Intermuseum-2019 International Festival held in Moscow from May 30 to June 2.
The message reads, in part:
“In our country, the government is giving high priority to the development of the museum sector and to strengthening its wonderful traditions. This is why it is deeply symbolic that for many years, this forum has been held here, in Russia.
It is rightly seen as a respected creative and expert platform for fruitful specialist communications, for discussing a wide range of professional topics and showcasing the best educational, enlightenment and social projects that are being implemented by major, world renowned museums, regional natural history centres as well as regional, municipal and private collections.
Of course, this festival is famous for its rich cultural programme that involves both participants and guests of the forum; there are always many children among them as well.
I am certain that your gathering will have a constructive spirit. It will promote the exchange of accumulated experience as well as enrich Russia’s public and cultural life.”
