Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to poet, USSR State Prize winner Nikolai Dobronravov on his 91st birthday.
The message reads, in part:
“Your poetic works reflect dramatic, unforgettable pages of our history, heroic deeds and labour achievements of your contemporaries. The lyrics, set to the wonderful compositions by Alexandra Pakhmutova and other composers, fill people’s hearts with light, with belief in the high duty of humankind, in unconditional friendship and love, and pride in our Motherland.”
Nikolai Dobronravov is the author of the lyrics of numerous popular songs, most of which were created together with his wife, composer Alexandra Pakhmutova.
