Vladimir Putin signed the Executive Order On Awards to the Best Musical Art Teachers.
The President established an annual award for the best teachers of musical arts with a view to ensuring that they benefit from state support.
The best teachers from extracurricular education institutions designated as children’s art schools, children’s music schools, or children’s choir schools will receive one hundred awards of 500,000 rubles each for their achievements in teaching musical arts.
There will also be 50 awards of 1 million rubles each for the best teachers from secondary and tertiary education institutions involved in music education programmes.
The Executive Order sets out procedures for holding contests to determine the award recipients.
The Government of the Russian Federation received instructions to this effect.
