The message reads, in part:

“I greet you on the anniversary of the 30^thAlye Parusa (Scarlet Sails) International Children’s Film Festival that, starting this year, bears the name of its founder and inspirer Vasily Lanovoy.

I am glad that the Artek International Children’s Centre is once again extending a warm welcome to numerous guests, giving children a wonderful opportunity to meet famous film directors, actors, artists, filmmakers, listen to their advice and recommendations and learn from them. And, of course, Alye Parusa has always been a good starting point for the brave creative experiments of young children at Artek.

I am sure that your wonderful educational project will continue to help talented young people in their professional and personal development, implementation of their skills, and most importantly, to facilitate the development of respect for their own history and culture based on the example of the outstanding achievements of Russian cinema.”
