Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the Wind in Sails Open Russian Forum of Young Vocalists timed to the birthday of Yelena Obraztsova.
The message reads, in part:
“A person of great and generous talent and enormous creative energy, Elena Obraztsova devoted her entire life to national culture and did a lot to educate the younger generation on the high ideals and values of art, as well as for the professional development of gifted youth.
It is important that your forum follows the precepts of the outstanding Russian singer, unites children from different regions of Russia and other countries in its creative space, and provides young aspirants with an excellent opportunity to prove themselves at these major performances and receive support to study at the best music schools in Moscow and St Petersburg.
I am confident that such fruitful conversation with renowned masters and acquaintance with brilliant examples of Russian and foreign vocal schools will become a truly invaluable experience for every participant, and that it will be useful for them in the future. And, of course, your forum helps to popularise classical art and the rich creative heritage of Yelena Obraztsova.”
