Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to the participants and guests of the 31st Slavyansky Bazar International Arts Festival in Vitebsk.
The message reads, in part:
“For more than three decades, the festival, held in the ancient and beautiful city of Vitebsk, has been making a significant contribution to promoting international cultural cooperation and strengthening spiritual ties between fraternal Slavic peoples.
This year, Slavyansky Bazar is offering an especially rich and diverse programme. The festival events will take place not only on the traditional stage of the Summer Amphitheatre, but also at other concert venues in the city. Plans include performances by famous singers and artists, as well as numerous musical, opera, pop, folklore and circus companies, in addition to theatrical performances and exhibitions. A considerable part of the programme includes events held under the auspices of the Union State.
It is important that the organisers focus on the creative work of the growing generation: young performers from dozens of countries will take part in the 20th International Children’s Music Contest held as part of the festival.
I would like to wish all the festival participants inspiration and creative success, as well as an exciting, unforgettable experience to its guests.”
