Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the organisers, participants and guests of the 30th Zodchestvo International Architecture Festival timed to coincide with the 90th anniversary of the Union of Architects of Russia.
The message reads, in part:
“This creative forum has always had great appeal for professional architects and everyone interested in architecture. It is a popular venue used to discuss current industry-wide problems and long-term plans and to demonstrate the recent advances in contemporary urban development. Certainly, the festival is invariably notable for its packed exhibition and contest programme. It is a real magnet for architects, designers, restoration artists, art historians, builders, and architecture students.
I am confident that these traditional meetings are very important in that they help to preserve our unique historical and cultural heritage, promote comprehensive development of territories, and improve people’s quality of life.”
