Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the 15th East and West: Classics and Avant-Garde International Film Festival, which kicked off in Orenburg.
The message reads, in part:
“Your festival is rightfully considered a vibrant event in the cultural life of our country and one of the most popular projects in the field of international humanitarian cooperation. For many years, it has introduced the audience to the classics of world cinema and the most brilliant films by contemporary directors, helping form a common cultural Eurasian space. And of course, the festival, its amazing programme, friendly and inspiring atmosphere and celebrity participants is always a wonderful event for residents and tourists of the Orenburg Region, for all film lovers.
