The President signed the Federal Law On Amending the Federal Law on Cultural Heritage Sites (Historical and Cultural Monuments) of the Peoples of the Russian Federation.
The Federal Law provides for the possibility of preservation, use, promotion and state protection of cultural heritage sites (historical and cultural monuments) of the peoples of the Russian Federation within the framework of relevant federal and regional state and municipal programmes, as well as stipulating criteria for the priority addition of cultural heritage sites to such programmes.
Under the Federal Law, cultural heritage sites can also be added to state programmes of the Russian Federation in accordance with the instructions of the President or the Government.
