Results of the fourth special competition of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives

The list of projects winning the 2022 fourth special competition for Presidential grants to implement projects in culture, the arts and creative industries has been approved.

The main theme of the competition is integrating the DPR, LPR, the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions into a single Russian cultural and historical space.

After an independent assessment, 143 projects from 56 regions will receive grants. Moscow, the Belgorod Region, the Moscow Region, St Petersburg, the Republic of Crimea, the Chechen Republic, the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Republic of Bashkortostan, and the Kursk Region had the most winning projects.

The total approved amount of support is 953,999,906 rubles, and the average grant amount will be almost 6.7 million rubles. The creators and their partners are prepared to allocate and attract 444,278,262 rubles of additional funding for the implementation of their initiatives.

The competition was held in six thematic categories, of which We Are Together was the most popular (46 applications supported). The second most popular category was Cultural Code with 41 projects; grants were received by 19 projects in the Heroes of Donbass – Heroes of Russia category, 18 in New Opportunities, 10 in We Don’t Leave Our People Behind, and 9 in We Are Proud.

The Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives was established at the proposal of Vladimir Putin, and was announced on April 21, 2021, during the Address to the Federal Assembly. It operates under Presidential Executive Order No. 287 On the Establishment of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives of May 17, 2021.
