Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the organisers, participants and guests of the 3rd Cantata International Classical Music Festival.
The message reads, in part:
“It is gratifying that your wonderful project is taking place and once again bringing together participants and guests from different regions of Russia and foreign countries at the historical and stage venues of Kaliningrad. Fulfilling a high educational mission and drawing wide public attention to the problems of preserving unique architectural monuments, it acquaints art lovers with classical music and talented musicians and groups.
This festival is dedicated to the 150th birthday of the outstanding Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff and offers the public a rich and eventful programme, which, in addition to music, features educational events, performances and meetings with famous cultural figures. And of course, I would like to especially note your popular charitable initiatives.”
