Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the organisers, participants and guests of the Russian nationwide festival of school choirs, Children of Russia Sing, whose finals are taking place in Astrakhan.
The message reads, in part:
“Your wonderful festival is always a truly special day for all lovers of music and choral singings, since both young performers living in various regions of our vast country and well-known singers and opera stars take part in it. Such interesting, extraordinary projects are in demand at all times. They unite young people, contribute to the development of the song culture, instils creativity and introduces people to the everlasting spiritual and moral values and rich traditions of our art.
I am convinced that these finals will become a memorable and inspiring event for all those present, leaving them with the most vivid impressions. I wish you success and all the best from the bottom of my heart.”
