Vladimir Putin congratulated current staff and veterans of the Mosfilm Cinema Concern on its 100th anniversary.
The message reads, in part:
“Being one of the oldest film studios in Russia, Mosfilm has every right to be proud of its rich history, as well as the names and creative achievements of outstanding directors, actors, camera crews, and artists, whose talent, selfless and inspired work set the highest standards for professional excellence, creating films that became true masterpieces of Russian and world cinema.
It is gratifying that the current generation of Mosfilm employees carefully preserves and develops the wonderful traditions of their predecessors, brings to life bold innovative ideas and plans, and worthily contributes to Russian culture.”
