Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the faculty, students, post-graduate students, and graduates of the Moscow Institute of Architecture (State Academy) MARKHI.
The message reads, in part:
“You can be justly proud of the rich history of the famous MARKHI, created by a group of outstanding architects led by Dmitry Ukhtomsky, and certainly of the great contribution made by the many generations of your predecessors to the development of Russian architecture, visual arts, decorative and applied arts, restoration, and the study of art.
I am pleased to note that the current faculty, students, postgraduate students and graduates cherish the unique traditions and creative legacy of the great masters, following their guidance and principles. I would like to highlight that in our era of large-scale housing renewal, urban and rural development, and modernisation of transport and energy infrastructure, as well as healthcare, education, and cultural facilities, graduates of your university are in especially high demand.
