Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the Istoki (Origins) National Youth Historical and Cultural Forum.
The message reads, in part:
“Once again, your vibrant and meaningful project has brought together in the hospitable city of Sevastopol proactive and caring young leaders, including members of volunteer movements, family clubs, and students enrolled in creative degree programmes and spiritual educational institutions. Over the course of this forum, you will engage in debates and attend lectures, roundtable discussions and workshops. Of course, the key events for this year’s meeting focus on the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
This packed agenda offers the forum’s participants an opportunity to master new knowledge and skills and get the support they need to carry out their initiatives to educate the younger generation based on the traditions of patriotism and civic duty, nurturing a spirit of responsibility for the Motherland’s destiny and pride in the achievements of our forefathers.
I am certain that this forum will be held to the highest standard in terms of its organisation and creative content, creating an unforgettable experience for its participants.”
The forum is taking place in Sevastopol, Crimea.
