Dmitry Medvedev had a telephone conversation with Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel.
During the conversation, Mr Medvedev and Ms Merkel had a detailed exchange of views and assessments on the most pressing international issues, particularly the situation in Libya and the surrounding areas, the progress in the Middle East peace process, and many other regional problems.
The President of Russia and Federal Chancellor of Germany agreed to continue the discussion at the G8 summit in Deauville, France next month, during the top-level bilateral interstate consultations in Germany scheduled for July, on the sidelines of the World Political Forum in Yaroslavl in September, and at other major international events.
