Law on ratification of Agreement between Government of Russia and Eurasian Economic Commission on terms and conditions of its residence in Russia

February 3, 2013

Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Eurasian Economic Commission on the Terms and Conditions for the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Residence in the Russian Federation.

The Agreement was signed on June 8, 2012 in Moscow.

The Agreement is aimed at implementing the Agreement on the Eurasian Economic Commission of November 18, 2011, which establishes the Eurasian Economic Commission as a unified ongoing regulatory body or the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space.

Moscow has been established as the Commission’s place of residence. The terms and conditions of residence for the Commission and its delegations are determined by separate international agreements between the Commission and the states of residence.

The Agreement is aimed at ensuring suitable conditions for the Commission’s residence and activities in Russia with the purpose of assuring the functioning and development of the Customs Union and Common Economic Space.
