Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev on the Kazakhstani side’s initiative.
Mr Nazarbayev congratulated Mr Putin on the conclusion of the Olympic Games in Sochi on such a high note, both in terms of its organisation and athletic achievements.
In addition, the two leaders discussed the situation unfolding in Ukraine.
