Vladimir Putin congratulated President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the country’s national holiday, Republic Day.
In his message of congratulations, Mr Putin said that friendly Azerbaijan continues its confident progress on the road to building and development, and its international influence is growing steadily.
The President noted that the positive dynamic in bilateral relations based on good-neighbourliness and mutual respect is evidence of the solid strategic partnership between the two countries.
Mr Putin also said he is sure that Russia and Azerbaijan will continue their close cooperation through bilateral ties and within the CIS integration bodies for the good of both peoples and in the interest of guaranteeing global and regional security and stability.
