Vladimir Putin, German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel and President of the French Republic Francois Hollande had a telephone conversation to further discuss the various aspects of the crisis in Ukraine, given the armed operation in the south east of the country and the growing number of Ukrainian refugees on the territory of Russia.
The three leaders spoke out for a speedy resumption of a cease-fire and for holding a meeting of the contact group with the participation of representatives from the protesting regions.
The parties agreed to continue their contacts on the issue of Ukraine.
