Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of France Francois Hollande.
Ahead of the EU summit, the two leaders discussed in detail the crisis situation in Ukraine. The politicians addressed options for possible facilitation of a political settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. Both sides stressed the need to end bloodshed, overcome the humanitarian catastrophe and resolve problems exclusively by peaceful political means. Vladimir Putin and Francois Hollande agreed to continue contacts in bilateral and multilateral formats.
