Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order approving the Foreign Policy Concept of the Russian Federation, which updates Russia’s foreign policy priorities, goals and objectives.
The Concept is a system of views on the basic principles, priorities, goals and objectives of Russia’s foreign policy.
The legal framework of the Concept comprises the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the universal principles and norms of international law, the international treaties of the Russian Federation, federal laws, Presidential Executive Order No. 605 On Measures to Implement the Russian Federation Foreign Policy (May 7, 2012), the National Security Strategy and the Military Doctrine of the Russian Federation, and the legal acts regulating the foreign policy activities of the federal authorities, as well as other related laws of the Russian Federation.
