The President signed the Federal Law On Amendments to Russian Federation Legislative Acts Pertaining to National Fingerprint Registration in the Russian Federation.
The Federal Law is aimed at improving regulations on the national fingerprint registration in the Russian Federation.
In particular, the amendments to Federal Law On National Fingerprint Registration in the Russian Federation clarify the regulation of fingerprint collection from foreign nationals and stateless persons.
The Federal Laws On Refugees and On the Legal Status of Foreign Nationals in the Russian Federation will be amended to specify the location of mandatory national fingerprint registration facilities for persons applying for refugee status and foreign nationals based outside the Russian Federation.
