Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to President of the Federative Republic of Brazil Jair Messias Bolsonaro on its 200th anniversary of independence.
The message reads, in part:
“As a respected member of the international community, your country plays an important role in the global economy and is involved in addressing many current issues on the regional and global agenda.
Russia and Brazil enjoy friendly relations, as was fully confirmed by our February talks in Moscow. Bilateral cooperation in various areas, interaction as part of the UN, BRICS, G20 and other multilateral platforms produces good results.
I am confident that our joint efforts will ensure the further development of strategic partnership between Russia and Brazil for the benefit of our nations.”
