Vladimir Putin sent his congratulations to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the country’s national holiday, Independence Day.
The message reads, in part:
“Your country is confidently following the path of economic and social development. While pursuing a policy of positive neutrality, Turkmenistan is making a significant contribution to security and stability in Central Asia and the Caspian Region.
Our bilateral relations, which are based on the good traditions of friendship and mutual respect, have reached the level of enhanced strategic partnership. I know that together we will further promote constructive bilateral ties in all areas. This undoubtedly meets the interests of the peoples of Russia and Turkmenistan.”
