Law ratifying Russia-India intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes

Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of India on Measures to Protect Technology Related to Cooperation in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space for Peaceful Purposes and in the Creation and Use of Launch Vehicles and Ground-Based Space Infrastructure.

The Agreement was signed in Moscow and Bangalore on December 1, 2021.

The Agreement was signed to establish cooperation in implementing measures to protect technology in connection with carrying out joint programmes and projects on exploring and using outer space for peaceful purposes and in connection with creating and using launch vehicles and ground-based space infrastructure.

Under the Agreement, the sides must take measures to ensure that their activities are in line with the requirements on ensuring safety and security of the protected objects and technology that have been listed in this category.
