Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the initiative of the Uzbek party.
The two leaders discussed key aspects of the rapidly developing bilateral cooperation across various sectors. The discussion also touched on current international and regional issues, with due regard to Russia’s current BRICS chairmanship.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to steadily enhancing the alliance and strategic partnership between Russia and Uzbekistan.
The presidents also agreed upon future contacts.
