During the telephone conversation, President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan warmly wished a happy birthday to President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

The leaders expressed satisfaction with the constructive nature of Russia-Turkiye relations and voiced their readiness to collaborate closely in the future. They discussed several topical bilateral and international issues, including dangerous developments in the Middle East.

They confirmed their readiness to hold a separate meeting between Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan during the events of the  Background information BRICS BRICS summit in Kazan.
