The President signed Federal Law on Denunciation of the Convention on the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea.
The Convention on the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea was signed in Copenhagen on September 12, 1964.
Although the Convention does not bar any contracting party from taking part in the work of the Council, its members have decided, in violation of the Convention’s provisions, to suspend the Russian Federation’s participation in its activities. The illegitimate decision has not yet been rescinded, despite the Russian side’s repeated appeals.
