Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Protocol Amending the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia on the Provision of Pension Benefits for Citizens of the Russian Federation Permanently Residing in the Republic of South Ossetia, dated November 25, 2016.
The Protocol was signed in Moscow on October 4, 2024.
The amendments under the Protocol are aimed at enhancing the liability of the parties when spending Russian funds to make pension payments and supplements to Russian citizens permanently residing in the Republic of South Ossetia.
The Protocol also envisages that any information about a person transferred by one party to the other party under the Agreement is confidential and can only be used for the purposes of the Agreement.
