On May 10, the President of Russia will hold talks with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam, who will be in Russia on an official visit to attend celebrations marking the 80^th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The leaders will discuss the current state of bilateral relations and map out ways to further advance the comprehensive strategic partnership in various areas, with an emphasis on cooperation in trade and the economy, as well as science and technology, and to exchange views on pressing international and regional issues.

Following the talks, several bilateral inter-governmental and inter-departmental documents are to be adopted.
