Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On the Temporary Procedure for Entering in and Exiting from the Russian Federation for Citizens of the People’s Republic of China.
The Executive Order sets forth that until September 14, 2026, based on the principle of reciprocity, citizens of the People’s Republic of China shall have the right to enter the Russian Federation and stay in the Russian Federation for up to 30 days for guest or business visits, as tourists, or to take part in scientific, cultural, socio-political, economic or sports events, and may also transit through the Russian territory and exit from the Russian Federation without obtaining a visa, on the basis of an ordinary Chinese passport.
The regime of stay in the Russian Federation of PRC citizens entering Russia in accordance with the procedure established by the Executive Order shall be determined by the Russian Federation laws.
The Executive Order shall come into force as of the day of its execution.
