Dmitry Medvedev expressed his condolences to President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari following terrorist attacks on two mosques in Lahore, which took many innocent lives.
The telegram reads, in part:
“Nothing can justify such barbarous acts. Russia firmly condemns terrorism in all its forms.
We are ready to step up joint efforts of the international community to counteract this global threat, because we feel that the only way to resolve this problem is to put up a consistent, uncompromising fight against terrorism.”
Over fifty people died and dozens were injured as a result of the militants’ attacks on the two mosques.
