The President signed the Federal Law On Ratification of the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on the Mutual Protection of Citizens Against Abuses in the Field of International Justice.
The Agreement, signed in St Petersburg on May 20, 2025, is intended to foster constructive cooperation between the two states in protecting their citizens and safeguarding their rights and freedoms.
A core provision of the Agreement commits both parties to refrain from interfering in each other’s sovereign affairs through the use of domestic or international criminal justice mechanisms, and from assisting any third party in such actions.
