Dmitry Medvedev sent his condolences to President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari following a terrorist attack at a mosque in the city of Lahore, in which dozens of innocent civilians were killed and injured.
The message reads, in part:
“There is no justification for this kind of inhuman act. I firmly believe that we need to coordinate the efforts of the entire international community to fight international terrorism.
I hope that Pakistan’s authorities will be consistent and resolute in combating the terrorist threat, and that the organisers of terrorist attacks will face a heavy penalty for their crimes.
Please pass on my sincere condolences to the victims’ families and friends, and my wishes of a swift recovery to the injured.”
