Dmitry Medvedev had a telephone conversation with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Dmitry Medvedev congratulated Nursultan Nazarbayev on an outstanding achievement: successfully hosting the first OSCE Summit of Heads of State and Government in 11 years. Mr Medvedev emphasised the significance of the fact that the summit concluded with the adoption of an important political document – the Astana Commemorative Declaration: Towards a Security Community.
In turn, Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulated Russia on winning the bid to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
During the conversation, the two presidents discussed a number of current regional and international issues.
Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin also participated in the conversation.
