Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Vladimir Putin will meet on October 10 with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, who will be making a working visit to Russia at Mr Putin’s invitation.

Vladimir Putin will meet on October 9, 2012, with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, who will be visiting Moscow at Mr Putin’s invitation. 

Vladimir Putin and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon both noted the high level of Russian-Tajikistani bilateral relations and expressed hope for their further development.

Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Convention between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Argentine Republic on Avoiding Double Taxation with Respect to Taxes on Income and on Capital.

Vladimir Putin signed Order On Signing the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic on the Status and Conditions of the Joint Russian Military Base Presence on the Territory of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Protocol between the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic on Military Cooperation during the Period Preceding the Entry into Force of the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic on the Status and Conditions of the Joint Russian Military Base Presence on the Territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Vladimir Putin signed the Order On Holding the Year of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Year of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Russian Federation.

Vladimir Putin discussed with the Security Council’s permanent members current socio-economic issues and the international situation, including in the context of the discussions underway at the UN General Assembly. Mr Putin also raised the question of taking urgent measures to combat drunk driving.

Vladimir Putin received letters of credence from twenty one new ambassadors to the Russian Federation. Presentation of letters of credence marks the official beginning of foreign ambassadors’ work in Russia.

Vladimir Putin and Jean-Claude Juncker discussed prospects for developing cooperation between Russia and the EU, bilateral economic cooperation and the global economic situation.

In Bishkek, Vladimir Putin held talks with President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev.
