The President signed the Federal Law On Amendments to the Federal Law on Electrical Power Industry.
The Law provides the organisation managing the unified national (Russia-wide) electrical grid primary rights in buying power grid facilities, and determines the procedures for exercising this right.
The law adds to the list of the Russian Government's powers and specifies conditions for tariff regulation, including for exports and imports.
The law also amends regulations governing official sources of information for market prices, specifies sanctions applied against wholesale market entities, describes the functions of the board of the market, and sets forth the structure and competence of its supervisory board.
