Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Amendments to Articles 3 and 42 of the Law of the Russian Federation On Mineral Resources.
The Federal Law is aimed at improving the legal regulation of relations pertaining to submission fees for participation in tenders and auctions for the right to use subsurface resources.
Under the Federal Law, the establishment of procedures for determining submission fees for participation in such tenders and auctions falls under the jurisdiction of federal state power bodies in charge of regulating relations in the field of subsurface resource use.
The said procedures apply to both areas under federal jurisdiction as well as areas under local jurisdiction.
