Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov met with Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukiya Amano.
Cooperation between Russia and the IAEA, especially in carrying out a number of projects as part of the IAEA’s technical cooperation programme, and using nuclear technology in non-energy-related fields were among the main subjects of discussion at meeting.
Ways to develop the agency’s system of safeguards were also discussed, as were a number of IAEA personnel matters.
