Law ratifying Russian-Tajikistani agreement on petroleum product supply cooperation

July 4, 2016

Vladimir Putin signed the Federal Law On Ratifying the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on Cooperation in the Supply of Petroleum Products to the Republic of Tajikistan.

The Agreement was signed in Moscow on February 6, 2013.

It sets out the conditions for cooperation between the parties in the supply of petroleum products from Russia to Tajikistan and defines the parties’ respective bodies responsible for coordinating and overseeing this activity.

The Agreement concerns supplies of petroleum products such as petrol, diesel fuel, jet engine fuel, heating fuel, bitumen and bitumen compounds, liquefied hydrocarbon gases and oil coke.

In particular, under the Agreement export duties are not imposed on petroleum products sent from Russia to Tajikistan in volumes established each year by the parties’ relevant bodies for Tajikistan’s domestic consumption.
