Vladimir Putin sent greetings to participants, organisers and guests of the 4th Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum.
The message reads, in part:
“Despite the complicated international situation, relations of all-round partnership and strategic interaction between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China continue to develop steadily. At the same time, energy invariably remains one of the key and most dynamic spheres of our economic cooperation.
As of late, we have managed to ensure a very high level of bilateral ties in the oil and gas, coal and power-generating spheres. We are purposefully implementing large-scale joint projects to build nuclear power plants in China and to produce liquefied natural gas in the Russian Arctic.
The Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum that ensures regular dialogue between representatives of state agencies, leading industry corporations, banking organisations and expert communities in our countries is playing a more important role in expanding cooperation in this highly significant economic sector. The compilation of the China-Russia Energy Cooperation Investment Atlas is a highly important aspect of the forum’s activities. Doubtless, the development of this unique information and analytical platform opens up new opportunities for implementing mutually beneficial commercial initiatives.
I hope that the forum’s work will be constructive and fruitful, and that the ideas and proposals of its participants will be implemented.”
