Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Amendments to Article 2 of the Federal Law On Procedures for Forming the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
This Federal Law amends the provisions of the Federal Law On Procedures for Forming the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. Thus, only citizens who have resided in the relevant Russian Federation region for five years immediately prior to their nomination or for a total of 20 years can become candidates to the Federation Council.
