Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to participants and guests of the XI Sochi International Investment Forum.
The message reads, in part:
“Over these years, the forum has become an influential discussion club for substantive and constructive dialogue between the authorities, businesspeople, and the expert community, and has earned a deserved reputation as an event for showcasing the potential of Russia’s regions and launching interesting and promising projects.
The forum discusses topical development issues in international and interregional ties, and examines big issues concerning economic development in southern Russia and other parts of the country.
An active business sector is essential for shaping confident and dynamic development in the regions and setting industrial, agricultural, and social sector modernisation on a positive track. Our top priority is therefore to create the best possible and fully competitive business environment, and encourage direct long-term investment that aims to create new jobs and develop modern high-tech production facilities.
I am sure that the forum’s recommendations will find practical application and will help Russian and foreign businesspeople to assess their possibilities and turn new and much-needed plans and initiatives into reality.”
