The President endorsed a list of instructions following the meeting of the State Council Presidium on September 15, 2016.
The Government of the Russian Federation has been instructed to endorse a pattern for close and remote automobile and railway approaches to the Kerch Bridge and resolve issues linked with building additional energy infrastructure for the planned electrification of railways on the territory of the Crimean Peninsula and with organising sea cruises and regular sea and air traffic between Sochi and cities in Crimea starting with the 2017 holiday season. Instructions also concern the temporary entry into Russia of vessels designed for personal use; modernisation of the Crimean railway rolling stock; amending the Russian legislation to regulate handling operations in the exclusive economic zone of the RF and some other issues.
Instructions to the Government and executive bodies of the Russian regions concern, in particular, modernisation of the municipal passenger transport fleet, including bi-fuel vehicles, extension of the programme for subsidising regional flights and development of the network of regular passenger air flights.
Instructions issued to the Government jointly with the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea and the Government of Sevastopol concern the construction of the Kerch Bridge, approaches to it and the R-260 Tavrida motor road, and the development of Sevastopol’s Balaklava Bay area as an international tourist centre, including the construction of a yacht marina and upgrading embankments and adjacent territories.
Other instructions regarding transport infrastructure development have been issued to the Government of the Russian Federation jointly with Rostov Region Government, and Volgograd Region and Krasnodar Territory administrations.
